About Us

The Tim Griffith Foundation heals and strengthens Bay Area communities by providing support and services to those impacted by addiction, violence and loss.  Founded in 2005 by a Redwood City mother following the tragic death of her adult son, the Tim Griffith Foundation has raised over $1,000,000 since its inception and has made over 64 financial grants to local nonprofit organizations.  As a service provider, the Tim Griffith Foundation assists individuals and families directly through the operation of a unique program for mothers and fathers who have suffered the sudden loss of a child.  A distinctive combination of financial support and direct services, the Tim Griffith Foundation transforms hardship into journeys of healing and hope.
